Before now, not everyone is aware that popular Yoruba actress, Memunat Yunusa better known as Mimiano has a child, but from our desk, Gbolahan Adetayo can authoritatively confirm to you that she has a child for Robinson Okpara, her estranged Igbo lover of many years who was once working with Izeko Motor Spare Parts Nigeria Limited.

The figure 8 actress, who had a crumbled relationship with the Imo State-born businessman, we were reliably told, had a bouncing baby girl in 2001.

According to the story which came up lately, Mimiano met Robinson some years ago and started dating during her days in Igbologun Secondary School, Snake Island, Lagos. Then, she was helping her mother who was selling food at Moshood Abiola Way, Ijora Lagos where Robinson was one of the major patrons of the canteen. Robinson wooed Mimiano and they hit it off.

Their relationship lasted for over 8 years before a sudden separation came in between the two lovebirds and they fell apart. But during the relationship, she had a baby girl for him who's named Chi-Chi Okpara, immediately after she left Secondary school.

Sources further revealed to us that, after giving birth, Mimiano and the said Igbo man were together for a few years and thereafter, they parted ways because the lovers no longer had confidence in each other.

Then, the poor girl, Mimiano allegedly summoned the courage to be taking care of the baby single handedly together with her mother, Mrs Yunusa of blessed memory. ChiChi was living with Mimiano's mother until when the woman died.

Due to the prolific activities she was engaged in, and her several role invitations in movies, it is alleged that she could no longer pay her motherly attention to her daughter. This has influenced her to take the baby to one of the expensive boarding schools in Lagos while the baby only goes to her or the elder sister of Robinson.

Australia poll: Labor disunity aided Abbott’s rise – Analysts

Disunity within the Labor government helped conservative leader Tony Abbott rise to power in Saturday’s Australian elections, politicians and analysts said, with infighting and switching of leaders alienating voters.
Abbott’s Liberal/National coalition won the election decisively, but failed to inflict the thumping landslide which opinion polls had been predicting, with voters apparently still having some reservations about the London-born Sydneysider.
For the last six years Australians have enjoyed a growing economy thanks to a mining boom and enviably low unemployment despite the global financial crisis, yet the soap opera within Labor overshadowed this.
Outgoing Labor ministers were open about how divisions within the centre-left party — which twice switched leaders in their two terms in power before landing with Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in June — had fuelled a distrust within the electorate.
“The division that we have seen has been disastrous,” admitted outgoing health minister Tanya Plibersek.
“The clear take-out from this definitely is that disunity is death and we are not disciplined enough,” she told the ABC.
“I don’t think the division or the pain was justified at any stage.”
Rudd was reappointed Labor’s “comeback kid” by party colleagues in June, three years after they had suddenly and brutally dumped him for Julia Gillard, claiming his government had been dysfunctional and chaotic.
Gillard became the nation’s first woman prime minister and took the country to an election which produced the first hung parliament in 70 years, but her campaign was undermined by leaks and policy missteps.
With an election due in 2013 and polls looking bleak for Labor, the party decided to again switch back to Rudd, a change which prompted the resignation of several senior figures including the treasurer and the ministers for education, climate change, trade and communications.
“As a major party you have to contain your internal division,” said Nick Economou, senior lecturer in politics at Melbourne’s Monash University.
“If you let them spill out then the voters will lose faith in you. Labor, of course, couldn’t contain it and voters lost faith with them.”
Economou said Australian voters expected majority government which meant that Gillard’s rule was always going to be in trouble from the start.
“I still think that Gillard overthrew Rudd and managed to hang on, she scraped through an election — that was bad but it was not fatal.
“I think the carbon tax decision was the fatal decision,” he said referring to Gillard’s decision to introduce a levy on carbon pollution after pledging during the election there would be “no carbon tax under a government I lead”.
Haydon Manning, associate professor of politics at Flinders University in South Australia, said he saw the election as “a two-staged defeat of the Labor government”.
“It began last time and led to the hung parliament. It’s now been completed,” he said.
Former Queensland premier Peter Beattie, who Rudd had drafted into the campaign, said the perception of Labour ahead of the vote was “instability for leadership”.
“And I think during the campaign that was emphasised by the stability of Tony Abbott’s campaign,” Beattie told the Seven Network.
“The Labor Party have to be honest about this, and face the reality head on, that was the key issue. We all know that disunity is the death in politics. What Tony Abbott did is put up a unified team.
“The cumulative effect of the six years… has played into the spirit of ‘it’s time for change’.”
Labor heavyweight and former prime minister Bob Hawke said it was a disappointing defeat, but also admitted that “a party that can’t govern itself can’t govern the country”.
Labor frontbencher Jason Clare said people were sick of the “dance of death between Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd”, and Rudd’s decision to stand down as Labor leader was widely welcomed.
“My view is it’s time for generational change,” Clare told the Ten Network.
“We need to put the Rudd and the Gillard era behind us.” AFP

US actress Scarlett Johansson is to marry her French boyfriend, her publicist has confirmed.
The Hollywood star's representative said no date had been set for her wedding with Romain Dauriac, described as a former journalist.
Rumours about the engagement spread after Johansson was spotted wearing an Art Deco-style diamond engagement ring while promoting her latest movie, Under The Skin, at the Venice Film Festival.

According to People magazine, Mr Dauriac, who accompanied her in Italy, proposed last month.
The 28-year-old actress was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds, but the couple split in 2010 – a separation that Johansson has described as amicable.
Johansson is generally reluctant to talk about her private life, but she has recently explained what she does not like in a relationship.
"I don't like jealous behaviour," she told Marie Claire magazine in an interview this year.
"It's really unattractive because it shows a sort of insecurity."
Johansson has starred in movies including Lost In Translation, her breakthrough role, and Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Recently she was part of an ensemble cast in the action hit The Avengers.

Diana Star Watts: 'We've Been Respectful'

Video: Naomi Watts meets fans at the film's premier in Leicester Square

The star of the new Princess Diana film has insisted producers were "respectful" to her memory when making the biopic.
The film, which had its world premiere in London's Leicester Square on Thursday night, claims to shed light on Diana's two-year romance with heart surgeon Hasnat Khan.
Speaking to Sky News at the premiere, Naomi Watts said: "I'll never know what they think because I don't know them. But if they see it, I hope they'll feel we've been respectful."
Referring to her decision to take on the role, she said: "It was the biggest risk that one could possibly take and a huge challenge.
"I had a lot of hesitation about saying yes, but once I did I felt like it was an opportunity I couldn't refuse."

In a recent newspaper interview Mr Khan said he disapproved of the movie.
"It is based on gossip and Diana's friends talking about a relationship that they didn't know much about," he said.
"This includes some of my relatives who didn't know much about it either. It is all based on hypotheses and gossip."
His comments raised questions about the authenticity of the film as an accurate account of their affair.
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry
Critics have suggested the film could be 'hurtful' to the Princes
The relationship between Diana and Mr Khan is said to have broken down shortly before her death in Paris alongside Dodi Fayed in 1997.
But director Oliver Hirschbiegel told Sky News: "The film is actually based on the accounts of several people, and the inquest in which there were hundreds of pages discussing their relationship.
"It is not a documentary but a dramatic interpretation. In a love story you have to create four or five dramatic scenes that make it work."

Naomi Watts has been criticised for looking much older than Diana
The film is based on the 2001 book Diana: Her Last Love by Kate Snell.
None of the Royal Family is portrayed in the film, except a brief moment when a young William and Harry climb into a helicopter.
Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty Magazine, believes the princes will not watch the film.
"It would be incredibly hurtful," she said.
"They met Hasnat - well, certainly Harry met Hasnat - and I feel that once again their mother's memory has been hijacked."
